KAYLA G.
LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST
Kayla’s more than 10 years of teaching preschool and elementary school have taught her how to listen deeply and honor the needs of body and mind. As a massage therapist, she observes each muscle, nerve, bone, tissue as their own unique structure and how they come together to allow the body to function and flow as a whole unit. Her goal is to help her clients’ bodies function at their optimal level.
Kayla’s path to massage therapy came from wanting to better understand how to heal herself when she started experiencing generational fibromyalgia symptoms and battling anxiety and depression. Experiencing the transformative impact of massage, she now teaches her clients how to take care of their bodies so they can be their best selves and better serve others. She has a degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in Psychology, and she trained at the Panacea Holistic Health Institute in Long Beach, CA, where she focused on learning how to truly understand the root causes of pain and tension.
She is trained in shiatsu, thai, circulatory, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, prenatal, palliative care and sports massage. Kayla hopes to bring a calm, restorative and safe space to every session when her clients enter the room. She encourages them to show up as they are with no judgments, and she uses her ability to listen deeply to provide her clients the space and time to unwind and allow their bodies to return to homeostasis. She is also trauma informed and welcomes all bodies on her table with love and a deep respect for our journeys.
Kayla lives and works on a farm in Boulder, enjoying closeness with the land and animals. She milks cows, feeds and cares for chickens, sheep and pigs, and plants herbs and veggies. Through this work, she focuses on how to slow down her nervous system and work intentionally despite the demands of life. She also enjoys playing soccer, practicing yoga and meditating, and she recently started learning the drums – a childhood dream.
